If
you're a Christian, some of the information inside of this book could be
offensive. Especially if you’ve been taught to believe that all
Christians love everyone, including other religious followers and
nonbelievers.
It gets kind of confusing, when you're reading the Old Testament and
listening to a God who teaches his followers to fear and respect him.
Then we read the New Testament and Jesus is telling us to love our
neighbors and learn to forgive everyone.
Both Jesus and God, love their followers. All they ask for in return is
for you to pledge your loyalty to them.
Was the only reason why God created fear, to create loyal and obedient
followers? Or was this something that man created, to control others?
Wait a minute, couldn't God create loyal followers, anyway?
God has the ability to create the entire universe, but needs to control
some of the population with fear, while others view him with extreme
skepticism. If God could create the entire universe, couldn't God also
create obedient loving followers?
After all he is the creator and definitely has the power to make things
right, even if he messed them up. A good example of this would have been
Noah's Ark and the great flood that destroyed all of the evil humans, so
that God could start over again.
God has the ability to do almost anything, except for the things that
God can't do. But wait a minute, God can do everything, he just chooses
not to do certain things, because he knows best.
Wait a minute, can any of this stuff be verified? I'm talking about God,
like he exists and is a real person or entity, even though no one has
ever seen him.
However, didn't Moses, Abraham and Jesus meet God?
Again, this information cannot be validated.
This book is going to provide you with plenty of information that nobody
wants to talk about. I think it's finally time for God to come out of
closet and show himself.
God could easily put an end to all of the skepticism, with a few regular
monthly appearances. I don't think that's asking for much, but it would
definitely create some extreme loyalists and I would even join the
party.
Did God create the universe?
Well we can ask him.
Was slavery and genocide really acceptable?
There are plenty of Bible verses that talk about God instructing his
followers to destroyed other communities.
Isn't that genocide?
What about slavery, the Bible talks about it and even provides us with
rules on how to treat slaves.
Is there a Heaven?
Do all good Christians get to go to Heaven?
According to the Holy Bible, even bad people get to go to heaven, just
as long as they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Wait a minute though, why would we even need to worry about Heaven and
who gets to go there, if no one, and I mean no one, really knows that
Heaven even exists.
If God could just come out of the closet and show himself, I think we
could answer a lot of these questions, instead of believing in
ridiculous things.
Even though Christians don't need to be afraid of death, because they're
going to Heaven, most of them are still afraid to die. If you don't
believe me, ask a Christian who’s been in a life or death situation.
Some of them, tell you that they weren't afraid, but were they?
If God was here, we could ask God why most Christians are afraid to die,
instead of using science or rational thinking. Hopefully God could
provide us with a crystal clear explanation, not a bunch of garbely
goop.
Have you ever tried reading the holy Bible and actually validating a
Bible verse that actually makes sense?
If God is the true author of the Bible, why wouldn't it be easy to
understand and interpret?
When I was a Christian, someone pointed a gun at me and told me not to
move or they would kill me. I always considered myself a tough
individual, but the moment those words came out of that man's mouth, I
could hardly move.
I was practically paralyzed and wasn't planning on going anywhere, until
my friend surprise me and said,” We were going to run.” He counted to
three and we ran like the dickens. We didn't turn around and we didn’t
look back.
Was I afraid to die? Absolutely.
We could always ask God, why we need to be afraid?
If God truly was going to protect us, then why would we need to be
afraid of anything?
I'll tell you why, just kidding… I don't know… I can't answer that
question… nobody can answer that question. However, I've heard plenty of
television evangelists answer similar questions.
How can anyone provide an answer to a question, if they haven't even met
the respondent? God says this and then God says that. God wants you to
do this or you're not going to get to do that.
Some of these Christian leaders act like they're God or one of God's
chosen representatives.
Have you ever heard something like this, from a Christian leader?
Last night I was talking to God.
God told me that he wanted…
God answered my prayers.
God is with us today.
Even though words like these make Christians feel comfortable, they
can't be validated.
However, all of this could be validated, if the all powerful, creator of
the universe, showed himself and actually came out of the closet.
Think about it, homosexuals have been tormented and persecuted for years
and it's difficult for most them to come out of the closet. It's hard to
admit that they don't have any sexual desires for the opposite sex, but
they do it anyway.
I haven't met one gay man or woman who claims to be the creator of the
universe. Yet these brave individuals, take a stand and show every one,
who they really are.
What about a woman who has been physically and verbally abused?
Every once in a while, one of these brave souls, comes out of the closet
and ends their ruthless persecution. Some of these individuals pay a
high price for their freedom, but don't claim to be omnipotent and all
powerful.
Unlike God, someone who hides in a closet or someone who hides behind an
illusion of omnipotence, brave men and women, have been doing things
that they don't want to do, for years.
I understand why we don't ask the hard questions, but whenever you get a
start asking the easy questions.
There are plenty of things in the Bible that God tells you that you can
and cannot do. If you lay with an animal, both you and the animal will
need to be killed.
If you murder someone, you are supposed to be killed, according to God's
laws. Does this include war or self-defense?
Here's an easy question, does God exist?
I believe that the God or gods of Christianity, don't really exist and
I'm going to do the best I can, to explain why, through out the rest of
the book.
If God did exist, then God could take care of the poor and meek. Any
rational individual would have to agree that God doesn't do a very good
job, taking care of poor people, who inhabits the entire planet.
Some of these individuals actually are Christians, but God refuses to
show himself or show any miraculous acts that would create a world
filled with faithful followers.
No more illusions of grandeur, no more talk about heaven and hell, just
answer a few questions and prove that you created the world and
everything else.
No more excuses, either come out of the closet and show yourself or
remain a figment of the world's imagination, forever.
God(Jehovah, Jesus or the Holy Spirit) either does or does not exist,
but to go on believing in something, because of an emotionally based
feeling or thought, it should be re-examined.
Just because everyone tells you that God exists, doesn't mean that God
really does.
Best wishes to
everyone, Greg Vanden Berge
